Negotiations begin for new law enforcement building

The Helena Police Department and Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office have to move their offices out of the county Law Enforcement Center after voters approved a bond and levy to pay for converting the entire building into expanded jail space.

Like many common telephone scams, the so-called “jury duty scam” can appear at first to be a serious phone call. A caller will claim that you have been cited for failing to show up for required jury duty. Scammers will disguise their phone numbers, so caller ID will show the call as coming from a local law enforcement agency.
